Hanging in there!

Image
Heard back from the Acupuncture Herbalist and I have an appt on Feb 4!!! Inner legs still tender, but I think the Cosentyx and reduced dose of acitretin are doing their thing as I am no longer suffering from the white hot pain the way I was, I still have major discomfort but nothing like before, skin super tight around the knees, thighs and ankles. Laying low as to not agitate legs Starting a low inflammation diet on Monday, to try to improve legs Also last night one of my plastic booties slipped half way off, bot oh boy, that ankle and 1/2 foot were so dry and peeling! Pics under pain diagram, not for the faint of heart This is how my arms look after sleeping, as you can see the wrap (stretch tite) has shrunk down past elbow and exposed skin which causes dryness (ointment rubbed off on long sleeve T) and discomfort As mentioned above here is a visual of the tightness on the knees  Inner thigh inflammation and tenderness  The wrap preven...

Happy Sunday

Inner legs still tender, but I think the Cosentyx and reduced dose of acitretin are doing their thing as I am no longer suffering from the white hot pain the way I was, I still have major discomfort but nothing like before- Hands are cracking so I need to keep gloves on 24x7, same with feet, plastic booties under the socks- of course slathered in ointment . . . Met a friend for lunch yesterday and then had to pick up a prescription and then laid on the couch for the rest for the day as I was just so tired Waiting to hear back from a Chinese herbalist who can hopefully help with fatigue and pain via herbs, more to come on that when I hear-

A bit sore this AM~

Image
I woke up with a bit of pain, but more tenderness/soreness than anything. I think it has to do with the fact that at 2am when I woke up to use the RR I didn't apply ointment. OK lesson learned; apply ointment in the middle of the night to avoid skin tenderness/soreness in the AM I am hoping that I start to go into remission, so my eyelashes and eyebrows can get full again. Also so I can stop applying Vaseline all over my face to trap any shedding- I have also started taking Collagen Peptides, to hopefully help my skin heal further- Looking forward to kicking PRP out of my BODY!!

Another night and morning with no increase in pain!

Image
While I am still very happy that my pain is not escalating, I am still awaiting for the horrible PRP will start to retreat, I suppose that the reduction in pain is the first step to retreat. Some things to note: It is easier to put on socks, but, still very difficult, as something as simple as bending over is quite the task Still having to apply ointment EVERYWHERE in order to prevent skin cracking and bleeding Inner thighs still tender and need ointment 3x a day Feet still need to be wrapped in plastic to prevent cracking Arms need to be wrapped in order to maintain moisture and mobility Face still requires ointment in order to prevent shedding and cracking Eyelashes are very thin Eyebrows have become very thin as well  Pain is lessening but areas are still tender and affected ~ circled areas are the most concerning

Pain still at bay, but shedding is not : )

Image
So the pain is not as bad as it has been before Costentyx, lots of shedding, so having to apply LOTS of ointments. Lots of skin flakes, so Im sure Ill be a bit fatigued as my body needs to replace all of that skin- Hopefully I will continue to get better and hopefully day by day, the pain and shedding lessens! So far so good. Pain is still there but nowhere near what is was like as of the 17th of January, since Christmas Eve!

Progress ! !

Image
So again woke up with no White Hot Pain from my legs when I got out of bed. I did however have alot of shedding, but that is more of a nuisance compared to the pain. I'm hopeful that this relief is from the Cosentyx and I also hope that I continue to see improvements of this condition. Other things that I am doing is making sure that I avoid any types of stress or anything that causes anxiety, I am making all my own healthy meals and also using guided healing meditation that is helping me to maintain calmness and a healing mindset. I use this one on YouTube by Rasa , she has such a calming voice and its only 30 minutes I use it often! Here is a pic where I was Face-timing with my cousins Sandee and Christy. Im still really red and scaly but keeping my chin up and hoping for the best! And of course this little guy (Magoo) is keeping me strong and optimistic : )

Outing today!

Image
This post is all about my outing today and will have nothing to do with PRP (ok maybe a bit)!  My very great friends Adam and Cory took me out to lunch today. We were supposed to take our ///M cars pictured below, but I was very sore and could not drive. So Adam took us in his M3 to Point Richmond to such an out of the way spot, but so well worth it!!! We ended up at Nobilis  which is a little hole in the wall restaurant in a picturesque little area in the bay that you never imagine is there. We ate burgers and had a few beers (yes I still partake!) and although it was cold we enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. I was surprised I was able to manage without much pain, however, I was a bit fatigued, but I was happy I was with good friends that I love and that I know have my back. We came back to Oakland and spent some time at my home and Adam took a lovely pic of our ///M cars. I look forward to the days where I can take my car out and drive the fuck out of it, like I used t...

New Drug: Costentyx!

Image
I am hopeful that Cosentyx will help me get more clear of PRP- had an appointment today and was put on this drug. I did not know I had to inject myself, so I psyched myself out in order to do it not once but twice!! Dosage is 300mgs but each sensopen is 150 mgs!!! It was fine and lets hope the for the best! Ill have to do this 1x per week for 5 weeks then 1x per month after that. I hope to start to see clearing soon!
